On Thursday evening, the US Congress passed a new federal government budget that includes massive funding of nearly $14 billion to help Ukraine address the Russian invasion and its aftermath.

The text, which notes an economic and humanitarian rift as well as funds to be allocated to supply Kiev with weapons and ammunition, was passed by the Senate by a majority of both parties, following its passage in the House of Representatives.

With his exit from Congress, the budget bill will be referred to President Joe Biden for approval and promulgation of a law in force.
