US First Lady Jill Biden suffers from "mild symptoms" with confirmed infection with the Corona virus, according to what the White House announced, Tuesday, noting that the result of her husband, Joe Biden, was negative.
Elizabeth Alexander, director of the communications office of the first lady, said that the president's wife "began to show symptoms similar to those of a cold" on Monday evening, so she underwent a "PCR" test, which had a positive result.
She added that Jill Biden, 71, will receive baxoloid treatment and will self-quarantine "at least five days" in South Carolina, where she was on vacation with Joe Biden.
The US President underwent a Covid-19 test, which came back negative, and will return, as planned, to Washington on Tuesday, according to a White House spokesman.
Biden had contracted the virus twice in a row recently, before announcing his recovery and returning to his duties.
