GTA 6 may be eagerly awaited, it will not be the only one to play in this category and it will have to count on a strong competitor: a new episode of the Saints Row franchise . And it will be released before Rockstar's next title.

If Rockstar was a pioneer in giving life to the famous style of GTA-like, it is far from being the only one to have embarked on this path.

In reality, the studio also has to deal with a few competitors and one of the most serious comes from the Volition studio.

Saints Row is back soon!

Saints Raw, to put it briefly, offers more or less the same thing and thus places the player in the shoes of a rascal determined to become the new gangster in the area.

The first episode was released in 2006 and it was very successful at the time, which allowed it to give life to several sequels. The last one dates back to 2015 and it is Saints Row Gat out of Hell.

But now, a few years have passed and the time seems to have come to dust off the license a little. On August 25, Deep Silver announced on Twitter the development by Volition of a reboot of the first part, a reboot scheduled to be released on February 25, 2022.

The story should therefore not change and this reboot will take us straight to Santo Ileso, a fictional city divided into nine neighborhoods. Neighborhoods on which you will have to climb. Accompanied by your childhood friends, your mission will indeed be to become the new king of the area and thus build a whole new criminal empire.

A reboot for the new gen and more if affinities

Be careful, however, because the task will not be easy. In front of you, you will indeed find several factions led by characters with the same ambitions.

GTA 6 will therefore have to worry about, especially since Volition has promised to provide a complete editor to allow us to create a character to match our ambitions. And of course, you'll also have to deal with a ton of crazy weapons, many vehicles and a wide choice of multiplayer modes.

Expected on February 25, Saints Row will be available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One, and PC.
