Doodle, Tim Bergling

Tim Berling alias Avicii would have been 32 years old this Wednesday, September 8, 2021. Google pays him a strong tribute in a "Doodle".

[Updated September 08, 2021 at 10:15 am] Electronic music fans know it: Aviccii - real name Tim Bergling - was one of the most inventive and talented artists of his generation. This Wednesday, September 8, the musician would have been 32 years old. Google wanted to pay tribute to him through a "doodle", by modifying its logo for the whole day, with a video dedicated to it. In general, Google only devotes this kind of small event to great personalities, or historical figures.

It should be noted that few artists who died so young are today the object of such attention. Avicii is still very popular: according to a study by Casino Ground, more than 28.2 million streams are made each month on one of his tracks: only Juice WRLD and Pop Smoke do better. And with such a level of listening, Tim Bergling is listened to more than Michael Jackson on this type of online content. In Sweden, the young artist is considered one of the most important musicians of his generation: the Ericsson Globe in Stockholm was also renamed "Avicii Arena" this summer, proof that the DJ, despite his death, remains unavoidable.

TIM  is the last - posthumous - album of the famous Swedish DJ. It was released on June 6, 2019, a little over a year after his suicide, on April 20, 2018. Composed of 12 unreleased tracks made from the work left by Avicii, the disc includes collaborations with several artists, such as Chris Martin , Aloe Blacc, Agnes, Vargas & Lagola, Joe Janiak, Bonn, Arizona or Imagine Dragons. In 2019, Avicii's family created the Tim Bergling Fundation, which fights mental illnesses and works in suicide prevention. All profits from TIM's sales were donated to this association.
