The Witcher 3: an incredible world in 8K with ray tracing and 50 mods

After Red Dead Redemption 2 and Kena: Bridge of Spirits, Digital Dreams takes us on another journey in 8K and ray tracing on the bewitching The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt released in 2015.

The opportunity to see CD Projekt RED's monumental Action-RPG in action more beautiful than ever, notably supported by over 50 mods.

You flee my dream come the morning

While waiting for the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S upgrade, the PC version of The Witcher 3 can count on a strong modding community to give it a makeover. Using the same arrangements as for its previous video on Kena, the YouTube channel Digital Dreams offers us a video of the game in 8K with several visual improvements.

Once again, its famous ReShade Beyond All Limits allows us to rediscover this masterpiece in a different light, offering a rendering similar to ray tracing. For this new 8K video, Digital Dreams has once again armed itself with a solid configuration: an RTX 3090 graphics card, a Ryzen 9 3900X processor, 32 GB of RAM and an SSD.

While this ReShade is only available to subscribers to the channel's Patreon page, Digital Dreams has shared the list of some 50 mods used for its video on Nexus Mods. Many of these mods aim to give a realistic rendering to the title released six years ago. Others add new equipment to Geralt or make changes to the gameplay.

Of course, you don't have to run the game in 8K to be enchanted by The Witcher 3, but this video and the list of mods offered by Digital Dreams might motivate some to take up the Path against the Wild Hunt.
