Iranian official: Closer to the nuclear deal than ever

The adviser to the Iranian negotiating delegation, Mohammad Marandi, said that it is not difficult to overcome the issues awaiting solutions in the Vienna negotiations, stressing that they are closer than ever to concluding a nuclear agreement.

He added in a tweet on Twitter that Tehran expressed its concerns during its response to the European Union regarding the latest proposal to revive the nuclear agreement, stressing that it is not difficult to overcome the disputed issues.

He continued, "These (Iranian) fears are based on previous US and European violations of the agreement."

However, he added, "We are closer to the nuclear agreement than ever before."

And last Monday, the European Union's foreign policy chief, Josep Borrell, announced the submission of the "final text" of the nuclear agreement with Iran, calling on the countries concerned to take their decisions in order to revive the agreement.
