Allegations of election "fraud" are back.. Biden responds to Trump with one tweet

US President Joe Biden said in a tweet, Sunday, that his country "respects free and fair elections", in what appeared to be a response to the allegations that former President Donald Trump recently re-presented in his allegations of "faking" the elections and the victory of his rival in the last race.

Biden did not specifically mention Trump's name in his tweet , in which he said: "America respects free and fair elections. We honor the will of the people. We do not deny it." for the year 2020.

"The American elections must be decided by the American people," Trump said. "It didn't happen that way in 2020."

In a speech he delivered Thursday in the US state of Philadelphia, Biden violently attacked Trump and his supporters, whom he described as "extremists", considering them to be enemies of American democracy. He also focused his unusual attack on Republicans who espouse the Trump "Make America Great Again" doctrine.

The US President stressed that there is no place for political violence in the United States, and pledged that "we cannot allow violence to prevail in our country, and we cannot allow the integrity of elections to be undermined."

Biden indicated that "American democracy succeeds only if we choose to respect the rule of law and the constitution," adding, "I will defend American democracy with every fiber of my being."

On Saturday, Trump responded to Biden, who portrayed him as a threat to democracy, describing the Democratic president as an "enemy of the state" during an election rally in Pennsylvania in preparation for the midterm elections.

The Republican billionaire denounced to his supporters the FBI search of his home in Mar-a-Lago, Florida, on August 8, saying that this investigation constitutes "a blatant example of real threats to the freedom of Americans" and "one of the most appalling abuses of power by by any administration in American history."

It is reported that the FBI conducted this search because it suspected that the former president illegally kept classified documents from his tenure in the White House (2017-2021).

The Republican billionaire is also targeted for investigations into his efforts to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election and his role in the violent assault by several of his supporters on the Capitol on January 6, 2021. However, Trump is not currently on trial in any of these cases.
