ENI : LAUNCHES THE 104.5 MW EL MONTE WIND FARM IN SPAIN

The project is the result of a collaboration with Azora Capital, strategic partner of Plenitude in Spain for the development of renewable energy projects, both wind and photovoltaic.

The El Monte wind farm is now fully operational: renewable energy is produced by 19 GE wind turbines, model Cypress 158, with the largest unit size (5.5 MW) installed in Spain.

The plant will produce around 300 GWh per year, equivalent to the domestic consumption of 100,000 homes and will boost Plenitude's renewable energy production in Spain.

Stefano Goberti, Managing Director of Plenitude, said: 'This development is essential. Our growth strategy aims to reach more than 2 GW of installed capacity from renewable sources by the end of 2022, then 6 GW by 2025 and more than 15 GW by 2030.'
