OSAKA, JAPAN – The United Arab Emirates Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka-Kansai
has celebrated a major milestone, welcoming its three millionth visitor
since the event began. The achievement solidifies its position as one
of the most impressive and popular national pavilions at the
international exposition.
Since
its opening in mid-April 2025, the UAE Pavilion has served as a vibrant
hub for global dialogue, narrating the nation's story of success and
innovation. Under the theme "From the Earth to the Aether,"
the pavilion offers visitors an immersive journey that connects the
country's deep-rooted heritage with its ambitious vision for shared
global progress.
Commenting on the achievement, Shihab Ahmed Al Fahim,
UAE Ambassador to Japan and Commissioner General for the pavilion,
stated: "Reaching three million visitors is an achievement we are proud
of. It reflects the global resonance of the UAE's accomplishments and
leadership in many fields and embodies our shared aspirations for a
brighter future." He added, "As the Expo approaches its final two
months, we hope more visitors will have the opportunity to explore our
unique experience and learn about the inspiring Emirati stories and
visions we present."
The
success is credited in large part to the pavilion's young Emirati
ambassadors and staff, whose energy, hospitality, and storytelling have
been fundamental to creating a remarkable visitor experience.
Designed by the "From the Earth to the Aether Design Group,"
a global coalition of partners from the UAE, Japan, and beyond, the
pavilion has received widespread acclaim for its innovative
architecture, sustainable construction, and powerful storytelling. Its 90 columns, crafted from palm agricultural waste
and inspired by palm trees, reflect a design philosophy rooted in
creative collaboration and a shared vision for a thriving future.
Inside, visitors engage in a multi-sensory experience
across five thematic zones that showcase the UAE's journey in fields
such as space exploration, healthcare innovation, and sustainable
technologies, all stemming from its rich cultural legacy.
Beyond its architectural design and interactive content, the UAE Pavilion has established itself as a vibrant cultural hub.
Its daily programming includes expert talks, creative workshops, live
Emirati culinary demonstrations, and artistic performances that attract
audiences from across the Expo. The unique experience has prompted many
visitors to return multiple times, a clear indicator of the pavilion's
profound impact and its ability to forge cross-cultural connections.
As Expo 2025 Osaka
continues until October 13, the UAE Pavilion remains open, inviting the
world to discover the nation's authentic heritage and its vision for a
prosperous future for all.
