Many people use Google Drive applications in their work on a daily basis, because they provide a set of basic office applications that you need in your work.
Remote teamwork has become something that many companies around the world rely on, so Google is working to integrate its services together to make better use of it.
You can view Google Drive documents directly in Google Meet meetings without having to share the entire screen, just share a Google Drive document.
View Google Drive files during a meeting
If you have already started the meeting and want to view a document via Google Drive, you can follow these steps:
Navigate to the document you want to view, and then click on the arrow next to the share button.
When the popup appears, click Submit Document to Meeting.
Then select the document window by clicking on it in the new screen and then clicking on Share.
Then head to your meeting window to find your document displayed there.
View the document in a scheduled meeting
If the meeting host has scheduled it via Google Calendar, you can schedule viewing of the document as well.
To do this, click on the View Document button at the top to show you the View menu.
If the meeting has already started, you will find a button next to the meeting name that tells you that you can view it now.
Whereas, if the meeting does not start, you will find a button that tells you the name and date of the meeting, click on it to move to the next window.
Then you can follow the previous steps in the same order, but this option does not make you enter the meeting automatically.
So you should sign in to the meeting like any regular Google Meet meeting.
View the document in the meeting via icon or link
You can view the document in the meeting before you enter the meeting and open its window, or without the scheduled event via Google Calendar.
By entering the meeting link or code, and to do this all you have to do is follow these steps:
Tap the Share Document to Meeting button and then tap the View button via the meeting icon.
And then enter your meeting code where you want to present the document.
And if you want to stop showing a Google Doc in any meeting, you can press the Show button and then choose to stop showing, or stop showing directly from the meeting.
